A really lovely, estate found late nineteenth – early twentieth centuryReed & Barton large embossed berry or casserole spoon in the desirablepattern “La Touraine” (no monogram)– offered with and a low opening offer!

The spoon measures 9” long andweighs 2.97ozt (92.4 grams). It’s marked on the back of the handle withthe Reed & Barton factory logo andSTERLING (see close-up). No monogram or monogram removal.

“La Touraine” is a gorgeous pattern first introduced in 1895. Theberry/casserole spoon features embossed chrysanthemums in the bowl.

Condition: Very light wear consistent with the age &gentle/normal use of the spoon. No dings, dents, breaks, touch-ups orrepairs. (There is a very slight bent onthe edge of one scallop on the left edge of the bowl, really minor/faint). Thepatina is shiny as the spoon has been recently hand polished, but not overly so– it has the soft glow of antique sterling silver. See photos for details and specifics of the condition.
