This lovely piece is marked \"Mfd & Plated By Reed & Barton\" along with the number 1365. The base is a statue of a woman wearing flowing clothing and holding an urn. She looks to be in the style of Greek Revival. She measures 10 1/2\" high by 5 1/4\" in diameter at the base. It has a screw cap on the bottom that opens to reveal a hollow interior. There was a little bit of sand inside when I opened it. I believe it may have been done for the possibility of adding counterweight to balance the very tall vase to prevent tipping. The cap looks like it has some light damage from someone trying too hard to open it with pliers.The glass vase measures 8 3/4\" by 4 3/8\" diameter at the top. It is beautifully cut and etched with a leafy pattern that almost looks like palm trees. The petals on the top are finely cut with very sharp points in between. It is in surprisingly good condition with only the most minor of \"fleabites\" visible. When it is in place the whole thing measures 16 1/4\" tall.The base has no plating left and has a few flaws. Her face has some light corrosion (that almost look like tears). There are also a few other spots of corrosion, most notably on the front and back of her left arm. Plus, a couple of the leaves at the top of the urn have broken tips. The vase rests in place properly but because it is not a tight fit, it maybe could be helped with a piece of aluminum foil to tweak it make sure it rests in a plumb, vertical fashion.I believe it was likely made in the latter half of the 19th century.It\'s pretty great!Email with questions.
