These were both the workhorses and best sellers for Corona. Later in the 1950\'s as Corona became know as the Smith Corona company, they updated the machines to the Super Silent. they gave it a crinkle finish, that came in colors, and phenolic keys. This is an extremely well constructed machine and a quality example of American engineering.

This particular gem was produced in the 1948 . It was restored by us and creatively stylized by local artist Lindy She is a renowned artist in the Frank Loyd Wright community in western Chicago. This is a unique creation. Every work she does is hand done one of a kind creations that are not mass produced Each piece is signed by the artist Her works are unique, creative, and artistic. They are found in multi-million dollar homes throughout the country. Many of you have seen her creative genius on lamps and home fixtures, but never realized you were observing her work. What better way to be inspired then on a typewriter that started as an inspiration.

This particular gem was produced in the 1948. It has been completely restored to include:

First and foremost we rate the typewriter before any service is done. This unit came to us in very good to excellent condition.

Second, the typewriter is stripped down by one of our techs. Then each piece is cleaned by hand. Damaged or worn parts are replaced with new, or identical parts from other donor machines

Finally, the typewriter is reassembled, a new ribbon is installed and it is tested for 30 minutes of continuous typing. Any final adjustments are made and it is ready for another 50 years of service

You left two indications the carriage was locked for packing and I had the words I needed to unlock it gently and properly.
