For sale is ONE of TWO beautiful and completely refurbished Wurlitzer electric pianos. You pick!
I personally work on these pianos. These two represent #17 and #18 that I have refurbished.
Wurlitzer 206:
Features
- Replaced old amp with Warneck Research EP200 amp. Dead quiet and fantastic! (Aux out can be set to vary volume with volume knob or constant)
- Brand new sustain pedal, music rack, legs, and leg plates.
- Factory regulation including:
- Entire disassembly and cleaning
- Tuning
- Voicing
- Key leveling
- Spaced keys
- Let-off adjustment
- Lost-motion adjustment
- Damper regulation
- Refelted Front and Balance Rail key bushings (no more sloppy side to side action)
- Brand new reedbar shields (200A standard)
- New speaker wiring and AC shielding (200A standard)
- Brand new mirror faceplate (plastic still on)
- Volume pot replaced with NOS
- Vibrato pot added and enabled
- On-board speakers already installed
- Installed AUX out (200 and 200A standard)
- Installed Speaker shut-off switch
- Installed standard IEC power socket (standard location for all 200 series)
This piano was a student model, and very lightly worn. Hammers are beautiful and still white. Replaced a few dull short-ringing reeds with NOS.
Action is fast and light!
Quiet and studio ready! The original 200 amplifiers are noisier (even rebuilds and recappings), a flaw in the design.
Wurlitzer 200A:
Features
- Full factory regulation, same as above.
- Installed LED pilot light in place of stock bulb light. Never to burn out!
- Replaced AUX OUT jack. The originals are plastic and cheap. Instrument cables are much more secure.
- Amplifier is stock and dead quiet as well! These 200A amplifiers were a redesign from the 200 amplfiiers.
- Included are original legs, sustain, and music rack
This keyboard is beautiful, in living room condition. Never gigged! The 200A\'s speak for themselves.
A regulated piano is a world of difference from never-regulated, 40 year old pianos. All Wurlitzers sag over time; it\'s inevitable when all the support is on the four corners. The resting felts also sag, compress, etc. The action overall \"sags\" over time. Pianos are plagued with very little lost motion, if any. The action should be fast and light, not slow, sticky, and sloppy. The regulation ensures the action is fast and tight.
Again, purchase is for one (1) keyboard. Try them both out if you\'d like.
You haul or coordinate your own shipping. UPS does a great job. I will drop it off at the UPS or Fedex store.
