super nice reproduction of the M1874
Shoemaker bit from the Indian Wars era.5\" sweet iron mouth with a port that of course did
not exist on any authentic Shoemaker bit. Shanks
are blued steel and will rust, but can be prevented
by wiping down with a little food grade oil if you
don\'t want the rusted look. Brass US bit bosses.Almost all of Reinsman\'s military reproduction
bits ended up in the hands of dealers (such as
Carrico) who specialize in reenactment gear
and have sold for $65-125.Don\'t mistake this for the much cheaper built
ones made overseas. There is no comparison!Listing is for the bit only. Stand not included.
