They have been tested to make sure they work, and are set for three-way bulbs. They are made from some kind of hard ceramic like plaster and then painted gold with some brown to make them look antique. The bases are 6.5” wide. There are no labels on the sockets, but one comes with the original tag from Remington. The cords might be original, but the sockets look newer and the felt on the bottom looks new. The bases have a couple of small chips that could be painted over, butone lamp has a hairline crack in the skinny middle part that goes all the way around. It’s small enough that you won’t notice it unless you look close. It feels solid, so I assume there is a metal pipe through the lamp holding it together.

Just by themselves, the shades weigh 4 lbs. 6.5 oz. and 4 lbs. 5.5 oz. All of the weight comes from the cast resin frame that is on the outside of the drum shades. Since it’s resin and not fragile, it’s in good condition. It was made from a complicated mold, so there are designs that aren’t lined up perfectly, or a little extra bit of resin here or there, but nothing that I wouldn’t expect. To show what they look like lit up, the left lamp in the first picture is set at 50 watts and the right lamp 150 watts.
