Sheaffer made the Snorkel pens from 1952 to 1959 but only the first year models have solid 14k gold Snorkel tubes and hence are sought by collectors. This black Sentinel set is the perfect conservative set with just the right touch of class. The stainless steel caps have 14k gold filled bands and the pen has a two tone palladium mask on a solid 14k gold nib.

The set is in excellent condition. Very slight signs of use under magnification. Perfect caps except for a spot of brassing on the GF cap band below the clip. Fully restored extra fine nib. New seals and sac. Tuned. Medium ink flow (see writing sample in last photo). Pencil may have come from an earlier model but is an excellent match for the pen. Pencil retracts and propels, has new eraser and extra leads. Very good gift box (case).
