Up for sale is this antique Connecticut land deed for a plot of land in Quaker Hill. It is signed by two members of the Saltonstall family and a 3rd signature that I can not make out. The true significance of this document is its date, July 10, 1776. Less than a week after the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Note how they black out the bottom line of the printed document referring to George the Third as our king. The document is in pretty rough condition, with separation, tears and loss along the fold lines and edges as well as soiling. You can see the glue in some of the separations and holes that is attaching it to the backing. Measures about 16 7/8\" x 11 3/4\" framed. Please view all 12 photos for measurements and condition. Insurance and signature confirmation included on domestic shipping charges.
