Rockola -1933- Official Sweepstakes Antique Horse Racing Trade Stimulator - RARE:
$1005.00

Rockola - 1933 \"The Official Sweepstakes\" Antique Horse Racing Trade Stimulator. Serial #584. This a 1 cent machine. Coin is placed in slot, horse is selected on front dial, Lever is squeezed and horses spin around. The winner is indicated by Flag at the 6 o\'clock position. The marble which also spins with the horse turntable, indicates the odds of the winning horse. Videos of this style machine operating, can be viewed on Youtube. This item was purchased at an estate sale where many items from Euclid Beach Amusement Park, Cleveland, Ohio, were for sale. I was told that was where it came from (no providence). This may explain why it was painted red and decorated with beach themed pictures. This item has Plexiglas panels. I believe they were originally glass (easily replaced, if desired). Also, left side instruction card is missing. A small piece of Plexiglas was placed over this area a long time ago (I have ordered a replacement card and it will be included with any sale and is pictured in photo #12). I believe these items lend creedence to its existence at the Amusement Park. It is missing the \"Tell Tale\" tilt item. These are replaceable, but definetly not required for use of the machine. It was a small bar that would stand vertically when play was begun and if machine was bumped or moved it would fall over and the bartender could tell if a cheater was present. Also, the view window on the back would indicate which horse had actually been bet on (the penny falls into a slot corresponding with the horse number). There is some seperation of solid wood components at bottom area (see photos).Back door and lock are present, no key (lock has been removed and is unbroken). Operates very smoothly. Background scenes are in very nice condition. This unit could be easily restored or left as is. I\'ve had several trade stimulators, and this one is by far my favorite. Any questions, please ask. Shipping varies by location.
