I have decided to part with my most valuable Four Color comic!

Rocky And His Friends Four Color #1152, Dell Publishing, December 1960 - February 1961, $0.10 cover price. This comic book follows the TV show format starring Rocky the flying squirrel, Bullwinkle the moose, Boris Badenov and Natasha Fatale, Mr. Peabody and Sherman, and Fractured Fairy Tales. Dudley Do-Right, Snidely Whiplash, and Nell are not in this issue.

At fifty-eight years old, this comic is in almost miraculous condition!There is avery light(requiring good lighting or direct sunlight to see it)two-inch bend at the upper right corner of the front cover. There is a small area of some very light foxing (browning) near the bottom right edge of the front cover (see photo). With 10 being pure white on the Overstreet Whiteness Level (OWL) card, the page and cover paper is 8.5 off-white. The inside covers have lightly yellowed due to age-normal ink bleed from either the cover outsides or the adjacent pages.

There are no creases, no edge nicks, no soiling, no writing, no wrinkles, and there has been no contact with moisture. The staples have darkened on the outside but have not rusted and there is no trace of paper discoloration on the binding edge at the staples. The comic lies flat with no spine roll, corners and edges are sharp, and the paper is supple with no hint of an acidic odor. I consider this comic to be a nearly perfect example of the VF+ 8.5 grade, having a current (2016 Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide) retail value of

$171.50!

My comic book grading is done carefully and slowly to ensure that no imperfections are overlooked. I regularly refer to the Overstreet Comic Book Grading Guide, 2nd Edition 2003. I am a comic collector in the process of downsizing, and I have both the experience and time to grade my comics accurately. I have never received a complaint about my grading.

This comic is in a new comic bag with a backing board. Shipments are protected by corrugated cardboard and watertight plastic bags. For one or a few comics, that usually means a larger outer comic bag sealed with easily removable tape.I have shipped thousands of comics to hundreds of buyers and I have never been notified of a comic arriving damaged. I have never received a negative or even a neutral response from any buyer or seller!
