This is a vintageRocky Mountain leather rifle scabbard that I bought new in the 1960’s. The Rocky Mountain logo is stamped on theback, the company was located in Bozeman, MT as I recall. Except for wear as shown in the photos (inthe late 60’s, 70’s and 80’s it rode all over the finest hunting ranges of theYukon, North West Territories, British Columbia and Wyoming), it iscompletely original, the stitching is proper and secure, all straps, bucklesand snaps are in good working order. Theheavy leather could use a good scrubbing and preservative. It carried a Weatherby .270 with 24-inchbarrel and Zeiss scope. Overall length is 38-inches.

Sad to say, it ishard for me to offer it but time is passing me by and the time to part withsome of my stuff has come. It was thebest scabbard made in its day and still has several lifetimes of use left init. The pictured rifle is not included.
