A late WW2 German battle group from the 9th panzer division. All of the vehicles are decaled with divisional emblems and various other tactical markings. These vehicles were all painted to a very high standard in the late war camo scheme. Most of the vehicles have metal antennas and drilled out guns etc. Vehicles and guns that could take crews were supplied with hand painted crews. The original guns were replaced with the PZ4\'s and the Panthers because the originals were too flimsy or too short respectively. Additionally the Panther mantlets were modified by drilling holes for the apertures for the coaxial MG\'s and the gunners monocular sights. The 9th Panzer Division spent most of the late war period on the western front so these are perfect for battling your Roco U.S. Armor. Brands used were Roco, Aurora, Wiking, Eidai?, Airfix, AHM. Also, hand painted German Panzer Grenadiers all detailed and painted to a high standard

The figures were intricately painted using an Optivisor from the inside out so to speak. In other words the flesh was painted first then the eyes, mouth, nostrils, ears, knuckles etc were painted. Next the cuffs, collars, and underside of helmets were lined with dark brown. Then the uniforms, weapons gear etc were painted. This is a very long and arduous process but the end result is figures without flesh paint painted onto collars and cuffs, with shadow and depth. The bases of the dismounted figures were then flocked.

So alot of work but it was fun.
