This listing is for a Victorian-style silverplate pickle castor, panel style, clear insert, w/tongs, by Rogers Smith of New Haven, Conn. The castor measures 10 1/2\" high and is in VeryGoodconditionwith light surface scratches and a few small tarnish spots but but nodings, dents, or other blemishes. According to several reference books on silver marks, the ROGERS SMITH / NEW HAVEN mark on the underside was used from 1857 until 1866 when the company was merged with Meriden Britannia Co.
