Here are a really nice pair of Rookwood Pottery production figural puppy dog bookends with long drooping ears, maybe a hound or labrador. From the Ivory Mat glaze line. They each measure about 6 inches long, 4 3/4 inches high and 3 1/2 inches deep. They are is in great condition with no chips, cracks,or repairs, just a couple tiny bits of clay stuck in the glaze on the base of one (under the left leg and under the tail). Marks include the RP die-stamped mark, XLI for 1941, and shape number 2998. They are good sculptural examples of Rookwood's figural art pottery.
