Roseville Pottery Teasel Vase #882-6\", Green, Circa 1938 - Excellent:
$125.00
Roseville\'s \"Teasel\" from 1938, like the \"Thorn Apple\" line from the previous year, was one of the Pottery\'s more unusual choices for a decorating motif. An old world herb said to have medicinal properties, Teasel is a thistle-like flower with a spiky leaf bract, and, as presented by Roseville against a smooth, stark ground, has a decidedly Japanese flavor.
This stylish Teasel vase #882-6\" features a crenellated rim treatment flanked by notched handle-like buttresses, and boasts clear, crisp mold work and finishing in a soft blue/green semi-matte glaze.
Condition is very good. There are a couple of very small chips shown in photos 6 and 8.
