For your consideration is the book: ROY ROGERS and THE ENCHANTED CANYON. It is hardback book by Jim Rivers. It is the authorized edition. The Illustrations are by Roy Schroeder and there are AT LEAST 46 illustrations. It was copyrighted in 1954 by Roy Rogers Enterprisesand published Whitman Publishing of Racine, Wisconsin. It has 282 pages of pictures and text. On the back cover is the number: 2373:49. The front cover is 7 7/8\" tall and from the spine to the right edge is slightly more than 5 3/4\". This book is an old item; and through the years, has not always been treated kindly. The covering on the spine is not attached to the front cover. Also, at the top of the spine, approximately 1/4 of an inch of the cover is missing. There is tape inside and outside of the front cover (from the same issues). Page 253 isnot attached. Please, carefully examine the pictures.
Roy Rogers was born on Nov. 5, 1911 and died July 6, 1998. At birth, he was named: Leonard Franklin Slye (Roy Rogers was a \"stage name\"). He was also known as King of the Cowboys. He appeared in more than 100 films and several radio & TV episodes of the Roy Rogers show. His show was broadcast on radio for 9 years and on TV from 1951 through 1957. He also had 4 albums & 13 singles make the charts.
