Here we are offering the full-size medals. miniature medals, as well as the full-size and miniature ribbon bars awarded to Commander Stanley Warren Howell. During the war years, Howell was a T/Lt. first serving on the minesweeper HMCS Digby, and then serving on convoy duties as T/A/Lt.Cdr. of HMCS Wentworth from December of \'43 through the invasion and into July of \'44. In July of \'44 he became T/Lt.Cdr. of HMCS Montreal and was involved with picking up 33 survivors from the merchant ship Fjordheim that was torpedoed and sunk by a German U-boat. After the war he was promoted to Commander.
This is a very nice estate fresh grouping in "as found" uncleaned condition.
