This is a stunning Royal Copenhagen figure of a Faun Playing Pipes. It is beautifully sculpted and very nicely painted with mottled fur - not the brown fur you see on all models..

The figure is model number 1736 and was sculpted by Christian Thomsen. It is in perfect condition and is a Factory First. It measures approximately 14 cm tall, 12 cm long and 9 cm wide.

This particular figure dates to 1939. This is an extremely rare figure - I have only ever seen one other example of a Faun with mottled fur.

There is slight reflection from the camera in the pictures.
