Being offered on this sale is gorgeous Little Goose Girl (Gåsepige) made by Royal Copenhagen. This is Royal Copenhagen Figurine # 528. It is a part of most famous Farmers Life collection. Girl is shown in traditional costume in blue and white. Goose is white. Figures stand on the pedestal imitating green grass. Sculptor and modeler Christian Thomsen (1860 -1921) designed this figure. He was at Royal Copenhagen Factory during 1898 - 1920. He is one of the soundest names in Royal Copenhagen art. He is famous for his Christmas plates, figurines and vases. Sculptor’s initials are incised on the pedestal behind girl. There are manufacturer marks and design production number 528 and production painter initials ‘DC’ printed in blue on the backside. Unfortunately, we do not know the name of this artist.

The Royal Copenhagen Porcelain Manufactory was founded in 1775. The three wavy lines, symbolizing the three waters separating the country - the Sound, The Great Belt and the Cattegat - became the trademark. Known throughout the world for decorative porcelain, plates & collectibles; quality porcelain set from common service to Flora Danica. Figurine on this sale is marked on the backside with genuine three waters mark in blue. There is a standard Crown ‘Royal Copenhagen Denmark’ mark printed in green on the backside of this figurine. ‘Ř’ and ‘Ǒ’ in ‘Royal’ have bars above letters in this mark and this truly identifies production of 1985 - 1991.

This figurine measures about 4 1/8” x 3 1/8” on the base and stands 7” tall. Condition is very good with no cracks, chips or crazing found. Colors are bright and vibrant. Please take a look at the pictures to find out more about this item.
