Up for sale is an Important-1st version figure by master Royal Doulton modeler- \"C.J. Noke\" entitled, \"Doris Keane as Cavalini\" - \"Potted by Doulton & Co. HN90\". Issued in 1918. Doris Keane, was a beautiful American actress, that came to England in 1915 to star in the play, Romance, a story about an opera singer in love with a young clergyman. The play was a great success, running to 1049 performances. Doris Keane became very popular, and was featured in a great variety of glamour, or pin-up postcards, sometimes in rather \'risqué\' poses having stripped off the famous crinoline. This impressive regal figure stands 11\" tall and has a matte finish on the black dress with head, arms and pearls glazed for a truly dramatic effect. The finish is all original with no fading, damage, repairs, cracks, crazing or hairlines and was Black Light tested.
