A wonderful GIBSON GIRL plate by Royal Doulton. Made about 1901, the plate is titled \"AND HERE, WINNING NEW FRIENDS AND NOT LOSING THE OLD ONES, WE LEAVE HER\". Below the title is \"Copyright 1900 by Life Publishing Co.\" The plate is 10 3/8 inches in diameter. Made on a heavy earthenware/ironstone body, its border consists of a feathery leaves. dark cobalt blue with black transfer center. The back has company blue stamp mark, incised company mark and some numbers. It is in Excellent condition free of chips, nicks and cracks.
