Description

This item isa highly decorative teapot, produced by Royal Doulton in their fine English earthenware,and decorated in the highly desirable Prunus (blue/yellow) D4365 pattern. The shape of this teapot is not recorded in Louise Irvines books on Royal Doulton Seriesware, so grab yourself a rarity. This range was produced during the period 1910 - 1942. Dimensions

The teapot has a base diameter of 6.5cm/2.5\", it measures 17cm/6.5\" from handle to spout and it stands 15cm/6\" high. This item weighs 430g.

ConditionReport

Excellent previously owned condition, with no chipsorcracks and no evidence of restoration. Decoration and glaze is in superb bright and vibrant order, appears to have seen little or no use. There is evidance of crazing to the interior and handle, typical of earthenware items from this period. Marked as a second, however there is no obvious reason for this, except for a surplus piece of china to the inside of the lid (not a chip as the picture may suggest). Not sure how this would have got there but it does not stop the lid from sitting perfectly. Would make a wonderful decorative addition to any collection.
