I am offering this Vintage Collectible Royal Dux, Czechoslovakia, Bohemia White Porcelain Elephant Figurine. It is 6\" tall x 10\" long. It is marked on the underside with Royal Dux Czechoslovakia Bohemia, and has an applied pink triangular plaque. There are also some incised numbers.
Royal Dux was founded in 1860 by Eduard Eichler as the Dux Porcelain Manufactory in Duchcov, Bohemia. Royal Dux Porcelain has long been admired for the quality of its finely modeled pieces and glazes.
This particular piece of Royal Dux depicts a figural African elephant with its mouth open and trunk raised. It is a highly detailed molded piece with a high gloss finish.
It has a slight imperfection at the tip of one of the tusks. There has been slight chip at the very end. It is not very noticeable, and the rest of the piece is in excellent condition.
