Decorative vintage heirloom Japanese Mid Century Large 5\"T Hand Decorated Porcelain Egg (numbered but not signed -- believed to be a Royal Satsuma) in Pristine Condition. It is a collectible vintage item full of elegance and charm which displays beautifully. Note: We are also listing two Vintage Royal Satsuma Vases - the perfect companions to this piece!

Description / Condition: Outstanding piece with a fine crackle glaze finish with no issues, no cracks, chips, discoloration, fading or repair. Zoom in to examine the photos in detail to further this description and reveal the intricate design, subject matter and beauty of the piece.

Measurements: 5\" T (including the wood pedestal) x 4\" W

Features: Hand decorated with over glazed enamels and gold gilding . The designs also feature a form of decorationcalled “Moriage” which is a term used to describe the use of raised enamel seenon many pieces of Asian and Japanese pottery. (Decorative items such as this were first manufactured in Japan and widely manufactured in the mid 20th century in China, and the \"Satsuma\" or \"Royal Satsuma\" stamp on this was used as a familiar term in order to gain commercial advantage). ItemCondition: items are sourced from my personal collection, local sales,business liquidations, and estate sales. Items will have some wear as to beexpected with used goods.
