This is an adorable Russ Barrie “Teddy Town” Bear Collectible known as the “Christmas Girl with Present.” The Christmas Girl is crafted in a high quality resin with wonderful attention to detail. Her head, arms and legs are movable. She is dressed in a darl red faux velvet Tudor style bonnet and dress. The dress has full puffy sleeves with narrow cuffs that are trimmed in a thin gold braiding, with a gold eyelet trim adoring the waistline. There is a cluster of 3 red holly berries and 2 green felt holly leaves adorning the center front of the high cut collar at the neckline of the dress. Her full puffy bonnet is also trimmed with a thin gold braiding around the entire edge of the fully extended rim. She is carrying a Christmas present in her right arm that is nicely wrapped with a multi-colored green and red plaid cotton material and tied with a very thin gold braiding. She has panty type underwear under her dress. She measures approximately 4-1/2” tall (from the top of her bonnet to the base of her feet) x 2-3/4” wide (at the expansion of her out stretched hands - from the outside portion of her right hand to the outside portion of her left hand) x 1-1/8” deep (from front to back at her waist area).

The reflections of light that show on the Bear’s body parts, eyes and nose (which gives a whitish appearance in some areas) are strictly caused by the flash of my camera because the Bear has a slight shine to its facial features and the body’s coat finish. The Christmas Girl is in very good condition – no cracks or chips. It has been on display in a curio cabinet that houses only a full collection of Russ Barrie “Teddy Town” Bears; and it comes from a smoke free home. I have a large collection of “Teddy Town” Bears which started from one or two given to me as gifts, and then became almost a full collection as I saw each new Bear come out in the stores.

If you are a Bear Collector, the Christmas Girl would make a great addition to your collection, or, if you are looking for a great gift for that special Bear Collector – this would make them very happy.
