Up for sale is very rear commemorative bronze medal issued in 1717 in Paris, France and dedicated to the visit of the Russian Tzar - Peter the Great to Paris in 1717.The medal\'s design was made by Jean Duvivier (1687-1761), who made his drawing for the design during the Peter I visit in Paris.
Medal is near mint condition considering its age ~300 years old! No scratches on both avers and revers.Well-developed patina! Only one very small spot of light corrosion, as you can see on image # 7.
It is very hard to find very old and rear medal in such a good condition. Images speak forthemselves.Medal is 60 mm in diameter and has a weight of ~106grams, as pictured.
