You are currently offerding for Russia Orthodox 100% authentic bronze icon Great Martyr St.George and The Dragon. In the center image St .George on a horseback, piercing a dragon with a spear. A blessing hand in the right upper corner. Attached top part - 2 cherubs, The old Testament Trinity and The Vernicle (Holy face). Similar type of iconography became very popular in brass images from the 14th century. It is central part of 3- folded icon and according Russian Orthodox church canons - each part of such icon also can be used as a seperate icon. Very nice old icon in good condition .Decorated with enamels.
