Sabrina the Teenage Witch(titledSabrina and the Groovie GooliesorThe Sabrina Comedy Hourduring its first season and promotionally referred to asThe Sabrina the Teenage Witch ShoworThe Sabrina Comedy Show) is an American low-budget animated sitcom television series produced byFilmationthat aired onCBSduring Saturday mornings from 1970 to 1974. The series is also aired in primetime as a syndicated series. Based onArchie Comics\'Sabrina the Teenage Witch, it was a spinoff ofThe Archie Comedy Hour. The series featured new episodes of Sabrina along with theGroovie Goolies. The series follows a teenaged witch who likes to hang out and fight enemies using her magical powers, without letting her friends at Riverdale High find out. This series was aimed primarily towards young girls ages 6 to 14, and contained an adultlaugh track. Following its first season, the series was reduced to a half-hour when the Goolies were spun off into their own show.

The show\'s opening strapline is: \"Once upon a time, there were three witches, who lived in the little town of Riverdale. Two aunts, Hilda and Zelda, are choosing the ingredients to create an evil wicked witch. But suddenly, Zelda bumped right into Hilda and accidentally added beautiful girls\' stuff as an extra ingredient. Thus, the grooviest teenage witch was born. She has white hair with a pink headband, and blue eyes. She wears a blue dress with a black belt and black shoes. She loves to goof off and battle evil forces using her ultra magical powers. It so happens that she is the first bewitching American superhero — Sabrina, the teenage witch!\"

In Regards To COAs:

Please understand that it would be impossible to include a reputable certificate of authenticity with every single piece of production animation art because of the fact that it takes thousands of these cels to create a scene in your favorite cartoon from yesteryear. The studios did not issue certificates of authenticity to each piece that left their buildings. Many certificates of authenticity are merely created by someone with a computer and signing off stating they believe it to be authentic usually without knowing its journey into their hands. And with the help of , these cels are passing through many peoples ownership.

As to how you can determine this to be authentic is by looking for the \"tells\" of what a production drawing or cel should have. First you want to check the paper or cel. Look for the peg holes, paper/cel size, and see if you can determine the paper used (some have water marks). Second, you want to check for markings near the peg holes. These identify the item as to what show, episode, or other use for the item. The number in the corner is used for its sequence in the scene. These drawings and cels sole purpose was to be used to create the cartoon, not to be kept as art.

I believe these items to be authentic, but I do not create certificates at this time. I hope this helps in your decision in purchasing from me. Thank you.
