Antique Frenchmetallictwist thread that is a rich steel/pewter color. The construction is silver thread wrapped around a black core , so it gives a darker appearance and it is 8 strands twisted together. This thread was made in Germany , which means before WW11

There are approx 6 yards in a hank.This thread is great for fly tying, embroidery, sewing, all hand needlework, art projects, jewelry, display.

This item is original antique stock from the archives of Tinsel Trading, in NY, which was founded by my grandfather in 1933. I am constantly adding ribbons, trims, tassels, cords, fringes and more, somedating back as far as 1880\'s.
