This is a comprehensive collection of The Sandman comic series, as featured on the new Netflix series "The Sandman"!
It features all 75 issues from the 1989-1996 series, during which Vertigo Comics came out (under editor Karen Berger) as an imprint of DC Comics in order to feature the more alternative and "adult" comics that didn't comply with the usual censorship regulations. So, the first half of the issues are listed as published by DC, and the last half by Vertigo.
Created and written by Neil Gaiman with artwork by Sam Kieth, Mike Dringenberg, Jill Thompson, Shawn McManus, Marc Hempel, Bryan Talbot, and Michael Zulli, covers by Dave McKean, and with lettering by Todd Klein. This original variant type series is a must-have for collectors and fans alike. The character list includes Dream (Morpheus), Death, Desire, Delirium, Despair, and the rest of the Endless, in addition to guest appearances from other DC Universe characters such as Constantine, among others. Each issue is VF in very fine condition (average grade 8.5-9.0, some above 9.0) and comes bagged and boarded. The set is the complete series of all first printings of the official variants. This comic book lot is a key issue for anyone who enjoys great storytelling set to amazing artwork of cosmic, allegory, gothic, philosophic or supernatural genres. The Sandman series is perfect for general audiences, although was released under the advisory "For mature audiences".
