Scarce 1933-1955 Eagle Scout Hat Pin Type 3 Medal Bsa Boy Scout Sterling For Sale
Presented for the Scouting collector is this nice specimen of the Type3 Eagle Scout hat pin in sterling and fired enamel. This is the Type 3 variant as defined by the absence of BSA on the chest of the eagle and was in use from 1933 to 1955. This design pattern corresponds with the issuance of the Robbins Type 3 Eagle Scout medal during the same timeframe. This pin is in excellent, untouched, as-found condition with a wonderful, dark patina. The enamel is in perfect condition and the roller catch and pin are present and perfectly functional. The reverse presents the raised "STERLING" mark and a unique personalization by the original owner ofthe initials "AMC." This would make a great "go with" for a Robbins Type 3 medal or gift to a deserving Eagle Scout of the present day. While not marked with a manufacturers hallmark, I have no doubt that this was a Robbins product as well. Check back in the future for more BSA medals and insignia. ! Shipping: USPS Priority Mail is my "service of choice." If you want something different, let me know and I will attempt to accomodate you. Oddly shaped items that do not fit into the standard Priority Mail boxes may be more or less expensive depending on weight. The beauty of Priority Mail is that it is a flat rate. Contact me at the close of the sale if you feel the need to choose another USPS service or carrier. Large items or items requiring a special box, packing, or freight charges will require a little more legwork on my part, but I will make every effort to get it to you as safely, quickly,and economically practical as possible and will promptly update you accordingly.
