Up for sale from my Great Aunts estate is an antique sterling silver spoon made in 1892 by an artisan silversmith employed by TOWLE Silversmiths of Newburyport, MA.My online researchfound that the spoon was made in their \"Princess\" pattern. My first thought wasthis was a small serving spoon. Then I found that its actually a teaspoon. The spoon is monogrammed and measures @ 5 5/8\"long with the bowl just at 1 1/2\" wide. The handle at the top of the spoon is 1/2\" and tapers nicely to 3/16.\" The spoon weighs 23 grams.
Aftermore than 40years in antiques, I trulyattempt to accurately describe all items posted for sale to the best of myability, and provide clear photographs.I identify any damage and postproductionimperfections that fall outside normal wear. However, due to the natureof antiques and vintage items, some signs of wear and usage are to be expected.I am an honest seller - please review my response.
