Offeringscarce Antique circa 1880- 1891 Early American Pattern Glasscovered footedcompotein the \" CRYSTAL WEDDING \" aka \"COLLINS\" aka \" CRYSTAL ANNIVERSARY\" pattern made by Adams and Co and U.S. Glass Co. The compote has been made in 3 sizes open and coveredin crystal, ruby-stained and cobalt blue - which is scarce in this pattern. Itisin excellent condition with no damage.It is described on the page #36 and 37 and- Plate # 13 ,Row2 #2 in the book of \"The Collector\'s Encyclopedia of Pattern Glass\" - copyright 1996 Mollie Helen McCain. Also other authors - Bill Edwards & Mike Carvile describing this pattern inStandard Encyclopedia of Pressed Glass - see pictures of this beauty.. Was some reproduction of this pattern by other US glass company in mid 1950\'s in different colors.
Size: 6 3/4\" across the topof lid. The lid is 4\" x 4\" and is 2 1/8\" tall. The compote is3 1/2\" x 3 1/2\"on the top and is about 4 1/2\" tall. The foot is hollowand measures 2 1/2\" x 2 1/2\". Inside is mark: \" 7\". Some early manufacturing imperfections visible in the glass(bobbles, straw or stress marks, sand seeds etc..)
