DescriptionThis week I am helping a friend clear some duplicates and offer a small selection of hunt and livery buttons.
All shanks are in place and firm, but some may be skewiff. The images will give a good view of condition.
HUNT: BELIEVED TO BE AN EARLY BLANKNEY HUNT SERVANT\'S BUTTON.
BACKMARK: PITT & CO. 31 MADDOX ST. LONDON.
DIAMETER: 25mm
CONSTRUCTION: TWO-PIECE, STRUCK.
MATERIALS: POLISHED BRASS.
COMMENTS: EXCELLENT UNCLEANED CONDITION.

Some buyers are unhappy that fully insured and signature required postage is now essential. This is because \'s policies insist that the seller is responsible for the item \'from door to door\' regardless of who causes loss or damage. I have seen a sudden increase in tracked and signed for items going astray, so to protect both myself and the buyer any item above £20 will be sent with proof of delivery. This means that sometimes post will be more than the cost of the button itself. I\'m afraid that is unavoidable. Items over £50, or if you require earlier delivery will be sent by Special Delivery.
ALL overseas postage will be by Airmail International Tracked and Signed, which may vary dependant upon destination and weight.
SHIPPING:
I always aim to ship within three WORKING days. Please be aware this does not include Bank Holidays when the Post Offices are shut. This, I\'m afraid is unavoidable. I\'m afraid that due to repeated problems with lost items I can no longer post to Germany or the Russian the successful buyer is known to me I always wait for buyer\'s response before leaving my own, as your response also acts as confirmation of safe arrival.
