Scarce, numbered medal issued by the Society of Colonial Wars. Numbered 365, “Presented by the General Society of Colonial Wars to Its Members Who Served in the Army or Navy of the United States of America 1917-1919.” The clasp is marked “TIFFANY & Co. BRONZE M.” (The period is under the “o” in Co). The medal is marked “BRONZE M” on the upper arm and “TIFFANY & CO” on the lower arm. The medal measures approximately 1 13/16” across at the widest. The medal shows minor wear and storage type marks, surface dirt and HEAVY tarnish. The attached silk moire ribbon is in poor condition, ready to fall apart, and a 4” piece of silk moire ribbon is provided in addition. You are buying the medal pictured.
