Thishand-paintedproduction celis aoneof a kindoriginalpiece of artthat wasusedin the making of the Walt Disney animated featurette (a short feature filmreleased not on television but in movie theaters) entitledScroogeMcDuck and Money,1967.Thisanimated film marks thefirst appearance of Scrooge McDuck in a starringrole. The cel is presented on a color print background that nicelycomplements the image.

In this wonderful film,Scrooge teaches Huey, Dewey and Louie how to save and use money. At one pointduring his lecture Scrooge states, \"Money should never stagnate but likeocean current circulate. Like the ocean currents control the world’s weatheryou see, circulating money controls the economy. Money must keep moving tofulfill its obligation.\" At which point the camera cuts to two of hisgrandnephews as one playfully grabs the other by the neck and says, \"Andif you squeeze it too tight you\'ll stop its circulation.\", which brings achuckle form Scrooge as he responds, “Well, that’s a funny one and how true”.

Thiscel is not from an \"unknown production\", or theDuckTalestelevisionseries;it is from a theatrically released featurette from the1960s, which was the first staring vehicle for Scrooge McDuck!!!Also,this was the firstanimated film released after Walt Disney’s death so theoretically it is thelast cartoon supervised by Walt himself.
