SENATE BEER - ALE, 7 1/2 inch long wooden lead pencil. Christian Heurich Brewing Co., WASHINGTON, D.C. The wooden pencil was given out as advertising in the 1940\'s, and the brewery closed in 1956 and the brewery was torn down. The Kennedy Center is located today where the brewery used to be.
