For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Circa 1998 Sheaffer Amber Glow Balance Fountain Pen New in the Box with book/paperwork/tag. This fountain pen has never been inked and always contained in the box from a non-smoking home. I consider this pen in Mint Condition and New Old Stock in original box with documents.
The barrel and cap are gorgeous with beautiful Amber color, polished with a high shine. There are absolutely no nicks, chips, cracks or repairs to this fountain pen. The cap of this fountain pen carries the \"white dot\", Sheaffer\'s lifetime guarantee symbol and the pen has been untouched in the box for the last 20 years. The cap and barrel are excellent with the cap always securing tightly. There are no monograms or personalizations to either the cap or barrel. This Sheaffer Balance measures 5 3/4\" inches in length capped and 6 1/2\" inches posted.
This Sheaffer features a 23K Gold Electroplated clip and double ring cap banding all highly polished. The NIB is an 18K solid gold Feather Touch with a medium point, .73mm when I measured using a digital caliper. This pen can be used with ink cartridges (2 are included) or the accompanying piston ink-converter as seen in the image. I have not inked the pen so I could keep it in brand new condition as it is a very special writing instrument.
The ink converter is unused and ready for your ink.
The factory boxes are in excellent condition. Like New!
This is a beautiful Sheaffer Balance in Amber Glow and really makes a statement. It is ready to write or add to your writing arsenal collection. Certainly, this is a pen that you can cherish and pass down from generation to generation. Again, it is New Old Stock, Mint Condition, and Never Inked.
