This listing is for a circa 1952 White Dot Sheaffer Sentinel Deluxe Snorkelin black. The pen is 5-9/16\" long and has goodgold filled trim, not entirely flawless due to a dot of brassing on the clipbase. The lined steelcap has no blemishes. The barrel hasnormal wear. It does have a couple ofminor scratches near the blind cap, one of which looks like it could possibly be an extremely tightcrack, but examining thebarrel edge at the end shows noevidence of cracking. The barrel has no visible imprint, but the cap is marked SHEAFFER\'SMADE IN USA above the gold filled cap ring. The filler system moves very smoothly and works asadvertised, filling with a singlestroke of the TD filler.The bevel on the snorkel tube itself isabout 90 degrees out of alignmentwith the nib and would look better adjusted. The nib is a very nice two tone 14K Triumph, straight and with good tip material.It is etched on the underside M5, but surely looks and writes .. to me.. like a firm fine point.
