Provenance: Japan.
Age: Meiji Period (C.1868 - 1912).
Size: The piece measures 29.5cm in height (11 1/2\") x8.5cm in width.
Artist/signature: Marked to base \"Makuzu Kozan\" with an etchedsignature.
Condition: The piece is in perfectundamaged condition andcomes with an original Tomobako box.
Comments: A fine and rare Meiji Japanese Studio Ware BasketVase with drip glaze design. The body is formed of an exposed Terracotta orEarthenware with a celadon drip glaze to the handle, shoulder and running downthe side of the vase. The piece has a simplistic fung-shuy style to it,specifically for the use of Ikebana. It is likely this piece was produced fordomestic use/consumption within Japan. It comes with an original Tomobako box.
