J. Moigniez was a French artist in the mid to late 19th century, famous for his bronzes of animals and hunting scenes. I have never seen a candlestick, though. There is a repair, done many years ago, just above the ferret, which makes it not perfectly straight. Please look at the pictures carefully. It is still such a stunning and rare bronze work that it is not a huge issue. Measures 4 3/8 \'\' across and is 10\'\' tall. My favorite treasure!!!
