Rare Meiji Japanese SolidJungianSilver Imperial Lidded Box.

Provenance: Japan.

Age: Meiji Period (C.1868 - 1912).

Size: The piece measures 5.5cm in height x 6cm in depth x 3cm in width.

Weight: The box weighs 88.8 grams.

Artist/signature: The piece is marked \"Jungin\" (Pure Silver), \"Miyamoto Tsukuru\" (Miyamoto Shoko Made) and contains and inscription detailing the manufacture of this box tocommemorate the marriage of the Emperor Taisho.

Condition:The piece is in great condition with NO dents or scratches.

Comments: Afine andrare Meiji Japanese Imperial Solid Silver Box, with etched designs. The box is in the shape of a Tsuba (Japanese Sword Fitting) and features an Imperial crest, floral and bird etched designs to the surface. Imperial Chrysanthemums with bolt rings are mounted at to each side as handles.
