Limited Edition: \"This edition printed from type which has been distributed, is strictly limited to six hundred and twenty sets for Great Britain and Ireland, of which six hundred are for sale and twenty are for presentation.

The Edition for America is limited to one thousand and fifty sets of which one thousand are for sale and fifty are fro presentation.\"

Condition: This should be a 28 volume set, this set is missing 4 volumes, which are Volumes V, VIII, XII, XXVIII. (unsure what stories are in those volumes.) This book set is about 90 years old. All of these books show heavy wear, and aging. They have many blemishes, scuffs, scratches, fading, dinged corners, the works. One of the books, Volume X, has 2 pages with some text ripped out, and is the only book in the set that has this kind of wear. There are 4 books in particular that we believe are in poor condition, we will show what we can in photos, but will not be able to show all of it due to our limit of 12 total photos. The poor condition books back covers are falling off and look as if they suffered some water damage many years ago on the backs of them. All of the rest of the books show heavy wear but are not falling apart. Most of them still have many pages that have not been separated, there bindings are still in ok condition, they are not falling apart, they just show heavy wear. The books also feature gold guilded edging on the tops of the pages. It\'s old and dusty but it\'s there. Volume I is the only signed book in this set. In all of the sets made, only Volume I is signed. The condition of that book in particular is decent condition. Shows a lot of wear and blemishes and fading on the outside, some spotting and discoloring inside more near the outer pages, but not falling apart, a lot of pages have not ever been separated. Overall, there are many flaws that can be found in this set, and if this set wasn\'t around 90 years old, we would describe it as being in poor condition. We were able to show the fronts backs and sides of all 24 books, please zoom in to really see the wear in more detail.
