SOUTHERN PACIFIC ADLAKE SHORT GLOBE RAILROAD LANTERN MATCHING RED CAST GLOBE. Very nice, short globe lantern marked on the shoulder, \"S.P.Co.\" for the Southern Pacific Company. The frame has a very nice patina, not cleaned heavily, and came from the estate of a retired employee here locally. The frame is nice and straight, free of any holes or dents other than the bottom, horizontal ring needing a solder repair (photographed), and has a patent date of 4-41 on the bottom, meaning it was manufactured in the 4th quarter of 1941. The frame is totally original from head to toe with the original bail, both bail ears, the correct retainer, and the original Adlake 300 fuel pot and burner. There are some pinholes in the pot that can be seen in the photographs. The set comes with the original, RED cast globe, embossed, \"S.P.Co\" with the \"Kopp\" logo on the reverse. There are only a few, tiny chips. Overall the globe is in excellent condition, and there are NO cracks. Excellent set that is shelf ready for display for the lantern collector or Southern Pacific enthusiast!
