Self-taughtwood turning artisan, Eric Lima, of Chandler, AZ, has been creating wood bowls& vases since 1993. The tree varieties he chooses are from Arizona &include mesquite, olive, ironwood & pistachio, to name just a few. Thenatural turquoise from the Sleeping Beauty Mine of Globe, AZ, added after eachform has dried & cracked, further enhances their beauty. Each piece isunique &individually hand-crafted, & they come in many shapes, sizes&wood varieties. The entire process for creating each of Eric Lima\'screations can take a few months to over a year, depending on the size and typeof wood.
It took many years for Lima to perfect his unique style and outstanding quality for his works. He continues to expand the variety of his works and has received several awards, including first place in his category at “The Best of Scottsdale” Art Show, held each spring in Scottsdale, Arizona.
