SPLENDID 17\" CLOSED MOUTH KESTNER with STRIKING Hypnotic BLUE EYES! Antique doll in Beautiful ANTIQUE Dress--SO SWEET!Ready for the sweetest closed mouth KESTNER German bisque you\'ve seen in years? Well here she is! Up for sale we offer this beautiful, EARLY KESTNER Bisque antique child doll with aTRULY sweet expression and the most gorgeous cornflower blue eyes EVER!
She is GUARANTEED TO BE free of Hairlines, Cracks, Chips, Restoration or damage of any kind to the head. She is GUARANTEED to be on her genuine original antique kidskin body with bisque lower arms. She is GUARANTEED to be made in Germany by Kestner circa 1890.
She has a wonderful bisque shoulder-head on a gusseted kid body with bisque lower arms. Fixed original cornflower blue fixed spiral paperweight eyes with painted upper and lower lashes, stacked brows, closed mouth with shading, accents, dimpled chin, lovely blond wig in coiled braids.
Dressed in her original fabulous white cotton dress with openwork embroidery, antique full slip with lace trim, white socks, vintage oilcloth shoes, antique lacy bonnet with blue trim.
MARKS: pencil marked: Early Kestner/ Bedelia (by a previous owner)
There are probably more marks below the kid lining of the plate which is currently glued on.CONDITION: EXCELLENT. Gorgeous pale bisque head with lovely creamy texture, delicate painting of features and refined modeling of very attractive young lady\'s face. The original body in sturdy original condition with no patches, and the original bisque hands in fine condition. Small rub to the right cheek. A very nice example of the early closed mouth Kestner, this doll is worthy of a place of honor in any collection. How often do you find one as lovely as this? A true angel of a doll!
