FEATURES:

~ FloralMosaic; Mosaics are made of heated glassthat is pulled into small strands and cut into tiny pieces called tesserae.Metal oxides are added to the glass to achieve color. The tesserae are then placedand glued to form an image. The mosaic is placed within a surround of stone orglass and then placed in a frame. Micro Mosaics contain much smaller tesserae andmay have up to 1400 per square inch.

~ Early“Safety Pin” Clasp in perfect working order; This type of closure was inventedin 1849, but not widely used until the late 1800s.

CONDITION: Excellent Antiquecondition! Silver plating is quite worn as is to be expected on piecesthis old.

MEASUREMENTS (approx.): 2” across x 1.25” & 1/4\" thick
