An impressive Pair ofheavy and ornate Georgian style Irish Sterling Silver Candlesticks of exceptional quality.

They stand 8 7/8\" (22.5cm) tall. The Bases are6 3/4\" (16.5cm) across

The Candlesticks are heavily cast in solid silver - they weigh a substantial 62.6 ozt of sterling silver. (1946 grams). (n.b. bases are not filled).

Each Candlestick has a removable Nozzle and urn-shaped Sconceabove a knopped Stem andstanding on a shaped and stepped Base.

They arerichly decorated with foliate motifs and shell and mask mounts.

Clearly Hallmarked for Royal Irish Silver Co.; Dublin 1974 - in the Georgian style around the underside. Correspondingmarks to nozzles.Also import marks for Sheffield, 1974 - sponsor\'s mark \'SAO\'.

In excellent vintage silvercondition without damage or fault.Casting is crisp. They stand straight and true.No obvious sign of use. Presentation condition.
