STARGATE ATLANTIS ILLUMINATING COMPUTER TABLET PROP - McKAY A screen used prop computer tablet used in the production of the Stargate Atlantis television series. This is a very heavy mock up of a computer tablet - it is not a functioning computer - and appears to be milled out of thick aluminum to resemble a Motion M1400 Tablet PC. It has been autographed on the front of its white plastic monitor screen by actor David Hewlett, who portrayed the popular Dr. Rodney McKay in the series. Accompanied by a black fabric carrying case, and a backlit plastic graphic screen that overlays on top of the monitor area to simulate a complex puddle jumper diagnostic computer display, this tablet has a black button on the rear to turn on and turn off the screen illumination. Originally acquired from a private collector who purchased this prop at the Maynards Stargate prop Studio Liquidation Sale held in Vancouver, British Columbia in June, 2011 after the series completed filming.
