TypedLetter Signed,on 6 ¼” x 9 ¼” White House stationery as press secretary to President FranklinRoosevelt, expressing Roosevelt’s appreciation to “Mrs. E.G. Hart, Post Office Box 525, Minot, North Dakota” upon thereceipt of her letter.

“November 19,1940. My Dear Mrs. Hart: Your friendlyletter of November fourth to the President has been received. He wishes me to assure you and your familythat he deeply appreciates your kind thought in writing to him. Very sincerely yours, Stephen Early, STEPHEN EARLY Secretary to the President.”
