“November 19,1940. My Dear Mrs. Hart: Your friendlyletter of November fourth to the President has been received. He wishes me to assure you and your familythat he deeply appreciates your kind thought in writing to him. Very sincerely yours, Stephen Early, STEPHEN EARLY Secretary to the President.”
